Scholarship Opportunity

C/TVSO Scholarship Application. The Association is awarding three $1000 scholarships to spouses or children of Veterans who meet WI § 45.01(12) eligibility. The application window is open now until March 15, 2026. Completed applications with supporting documents may be submitted to scholarship@wicvso.org.

 The scholarship goal is to support Veterans’ children and spouses in pursuing their educational goals and give back to the Veteran community that we serve.

Scholarship Eligibility:c/tsvo

  • Be a spouse or child of a Veteran who meets WI § 45.01(12) eligibility

    • Note: Children or spouses of current County or Tribal Veteran Service Offices are not eligible

  • Children may be biological, adopted, or stepchildren between the ages of 17-25

  • Spouses: No age restrictions

  • Be a current WI resident

  • Enrolled or will be enrolled by September 2026 at an accredited school or university for a post-secondary program

  • Applications are judged by a panel, based on merit.

Baraboo Elks Lodge 688 Scholarship Guidelines

  • Amount-$1,000

  • Date of Graduation from Baraboo High School-Any year graduate.

  • Financial need-Will be considered.

  • Intended School-Any accredited one or two year technical or vocational school or two or four year college.

  • Personal characteristics: Preference is a student who has been assigned an IEP or 504 plan throughout their high school years.

  • Work history: Will be considered and held to be more important than extra-curricular activities.

  • Extra-curricular activities: Will be considered.

  • Social activities: Family (Parents and/or Grandparents) membership with the Elks organization will be considered.

  • Schedule of payment: One payment of $1,000 upon proof of registration. Scholarship money is paid directly to the school.

  • Time limit for use of money: Must be used within one year of Honors Night. Request for scholarship funding must be postmarked on or before February 15 of the scholarship year.

  • Eligibility if other scholarship money is received: Priority is the student who has no other scholarship but may go to eligible student who is receiving other scholarships.

  • Naming of alternate or return of money to fund if first selection becomes ineligible-If by September 15, the recipient becomes ineligible, the money will be awarded to an alternate that meets the criteria; if no one meets the criteria the money will revert to the fund.
